About the park
Pines make up about 90 per cent of Novoorlovskiy’s woodland. The plantings also include birch, maple and oak, as well as shrubs. The Kamenka River runs along the northern edge, while Zapovednaya Street and an industrial railway branch pass through the central part.

The forest park lies in the historic districts of Shuvalovo and Kolomyagi, with the Suzdal Lakes to the east and the Shuvalovsky and Orlovsky quarries to the west. Formerly known as Novoorlovskiy Forest Park, it became a state nature reserve of regional significance on 25 August 2015.
Birds recorded nearby include the Eurasian tree sparrow, great tit and Eurasian blue tit.
