About the park
Muranovo preserves old oaks and larches, lime and rose avenues, and traces of the former pond system. For a bird walk, much of the interest lies in having these different parts of an estate landscape close together: mature crowns, lower planting, and the old water features. Each veteran tree has its own shape and branching pattern.

The main house was built to the plans of the poet Yevgeny Baratynsky. Members of Fyodor Tyutchev's family later lived here and preserved his manuscripts and belongings. The museum opened in 1920. Original objects, the house, and its service buildings tell the story of daily life on a nineteenth-century country estate, while the old park preserves its living natural setting.
