About the park
Yauza Park extends for about 20 km along the Yauza, encompassing green spaces in Moscow and Mytishchi in the Moscow Region. At Sviblovo, a riverside walking area follows a bend in the river; in Otradnoye and South Medvedkovo, the park reaches the banks of the Chermyanka, a tributary of the Yauza. Near the former Medvedkovo estate is a pond. Beyond the First Medvedkovsky Bridge, Pevcheskoye Pole has an open-air stage and a large amphitheatre, alongside a 34.5-hectare recreation area.

The land beyond the Second Medvedkovsky Bridge was once the village of Medvedkovo and its estate. The estate has not survived, but the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, dating from the early 17th century, remains. Elsewhere, Akveduk Park contains the Rostokinsky Aqueduct, the only surviving part of the Mytishchi water supply system. Built between 1779 and 1804, it was Moscow’s first water supply system.
Birds recorded nearby include the European starling, mallard, rock pigeon, Eurasian tree sparrow and great tit.
